JR in UKJustin Rogers has been appointed as head coach of the SA state team, The SwArm.  Although Justin currently resides in WA, he has shown through his application that not only can he overcome the logistical problems of coaching an interstate team, but that he is the man for the Job.

His football career commenced in 1996 playing with the Armadale Panthers and in sunsequent years played with the Westside Steelers, Perth Broncos and Rockingham Vipers. He has also represented his state at the nationals in 2003, 5, 6 and 8 as well as being a team captain.

In 2004, J.R. received the Gridiron West MVP and also was awarded this award at the 205 GA nationals in the WA v SA game.  His coaching history first started with the  Rockingham Vipers as Junior Head Coach 2005-2007 before becoming head coach of the Perth Broncos senior team.

His coaching also moved to WA state teams as Junior Head Coach 2007, 2009 and Senior Defensive Coordinator 2008.  His efforts must have impressed as he was given opportunities for coaching roles with Australian Outback Junior and Senior teams in 2009 and 2010.

J.R.  has dedicated himself to helping players with both flexible and broad coaching in an effort to help players develop, as well as systems/gameplans to grow around the players at hand.  Coach J.R. is looking forward to building a successful Swarm campaign and also sharing coaching knowledge with local coaches to ensure continued S.A.
